Every year I like to put together my FAVORITE items that I have used either forever or found this year that I love to travel with. Some things I find by a lot by trial and error, some by necessity, some by recommendation, and some by working with companies who align with my brand, and discover I love their products!
I travel year round to a lot of various destinations, so I have had to figure out things that I love and that work well for this lifestyle.
Here are my top 22 gifts for travelers this year!
Essentials:
Travel Pillow – I can’t stress enough how important it is to find a pillow that not only supports your neck but allows you to sleep on flights and long bus or train rides. It took me 10 years to find this pillow and it is the best thing I have ever purchased for comfort during travel. It is made from memory foam and I always wake up feeling rested.
Noise Cancelling Headphones – trust me when I say, there is nothing worse than being stuck on a long haul flight with loud passengers.
Luggage:
Globe-Trotter Trolley Case. Perfect for a carry-on, weekend getaway or even an overnight stay. I love this piece because it is absolutely gorgeous, made with high quality materials and you can even create your own Bespoke piece.
Passport Cover – You will definitely want to protect your passport when you are on the road and at home. These items are very inexpensive.
Packing Cubes: These are a game changer. You can sort your clothes and pack them such that they don’t get into such a big mess when moving around. It keeps everything separate and tidy! You can get them in a variety of colors – and all you do is pack them and put them min your suitcase – then roll out.
Camera(s), equipment and electronics:
Olympus Camera – I have the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III camera kit with 14-42mm EZ lens (black), Camera Bag & Memory Card, Wi-Fi enabled, 4K video. This kit comes with everything you need to get started, the camera is lightweight, user friendly, and compact.
Wide Angle Weather Proof Lens – Olympus 14-150mm f/4.0-5.6 II Lens. This angle has a nice zoom on it and it is designed to capture wide angles.
GoPro Hero 7 – have been using GoPro since the second model came to fruition. These cameras are great because they are waterproof, offer live streaming, 4k video, and inspire us to live a more adventurous life.
DJI Mavic 2 Pro Drone Quadcopter – this is the newest release of the DJI Mavic Drone and offers 20MP on the photos compared to the 12MP it offered on the previous model. Leaving your photos more crisp and clear!
Charging Station – This is one of the BEST travel items invented. Too often I show up on a cruise or to a hotel room without enough places to charge phones, laptops, camera batteries, back up batters, and so on. With this device not only does it come with 8 charging outlets but also the converters for the countries you visit. It is compact and easy to pack. Bonus: it only takes one plug in your room to work.
Portable Charger – I can’t stress enough how important having one of these is. They are compact and easy to put in your bag. When your phone is running low you just plug it in and it recharges.
Travel Insurance – I cannot stress enough how important it is to have travel insurance! Allianz offers an amazing package (check rates for yourself) that covers for the entire year at a low cost. You never know when something will come up.
Beauty Products:
Sheet Masks: Your skin will inevitably get dry on long flights and in dry destinations. I ALWAYS pack face masks for travel. If I have a long haul flight, I wash my face off and apply a mask during the flight for hydration. During my trip I will use another one depending on the elements.
Kopari Coconut Oil Deodorant – this has been a game changer for me. I used to get irritated skin, but since using Kopari I no longer do. It is made Non-Toxic, Paraben Free, Gluten Free & Cruelty Free Men and Women!
Coola Travel Size Sunscreen Kit – I love this brand because they are environmentally friendly and safe for the reefs. Coola is a great brand and their products are amazing! For someone who mostly flies carry-on only, these products are great. There are full size products available as well.
Environmentally Friendly Products:
Reusable Straws – now more than ever plastic consumption is at an all time high. Simply by packing your own straw, you can make an impact by not accepting plastic at the places you visit! This set comes with 8 straws and 2 cleaners.
Reusable Straws
Water Bottle: this goes in line with the straws. Having your own water bottle that you can refill, you are no longer contributing to the use of plastic on convenience water purchases AND you can drink your water for free. Have you seen the price of water in airports lately?? I have seen it as high as $7USD! I like these water bottles because they collapse to save space and are BPA free.
Books:
Kindle – if you don’t like to take books with you or have coffee table books, a Kindle is an excellent option. You can store your reads on there and its very easy to travel with. This new Kindle Paperwhite is waterproof and hold twice the amount of content. Great for pool/beach time.
I love to read and always find new adventures or inspiration in these books.
Journeys of a Lifetime – 500 of the world’s GREATEST trips!

Rose all day – I had a trip with Early Mountain Vineyards this fall and fell in love with their Rose! Its very refreshing.
Comfortable Stylish Shoes – Birdies are my new FAVORITE shoes! They feel like walking in a slipper but they are sturdy and designed as shoes. You can purchase them with faux fur or satin lines soles. These are my favorite: The Starling, in Burgundy.

Love this list. Very impressed it is eco friendly and kind to animals. I don’t use packing cubes. I don’t get the concept. Guess I better get on board. Great list!
