Where To Stay In Budapest: Accommodations at The Ritz-Carlton, Budapest
The hotel boasts 171 guestrooms and 29 suites, with various views of the city, park, and picturesque landscapes. The aesthetic of the guestrooms is neutral paint tones with soft splashes of color and contemporary furnishing with traditional accents. Rooms offer a separate seating area, which is great for getting ready, enjoying a book, or if you want to relax but not lay directly on your bed.
One of my favorite features of this hotel is that each room includes a Nespresso coffee machine, perfect for brewing my own cup of delicious, fresh coffee immediately upon waking up in the morning! Each guestroom offers a fully stocked in-room bar as well. If room service is high on your list when determining where to stay in Budapest, you’ll be pleased to learn The Ritz-Carlton offers 24-hour in-room dining available for your convenience.
A mainstay of the Ritz Carlton brand is a bathroom that makes you feel like you’re on vacation. Bathrooms come equipped with a separate bathtub and shower, as well as beautiful marble surfaces. The Chairman Suite is one of the most beautiful and well laid out suites I have had the pleasure of staying in.

The restaurant offers an authentic experience rich in Hungarian-inspired cuisine, as well as a full cocktail and spirit selection along with one of Budapest’s largest selections of local Hungarian beer and wine. In addition to dinner, the restaurant offers a separate brunch menu and business lunch specials.
You’ll find the menu is very eclectic, offering many options for a variety of appetites and preferences. Appetizers include Classic Steak Tartare, Hungarian Duck Foie Gras au Torchon, or a board of Regional Dry and Fresh Charcuterie and Cheese. Warm bowls of classic flavors include the classic Hungarian Goulash, Red Cabbage Soup, and Red Bean Soup. Grilled steaks, such as Wagyu Australian Sirloin, Aged Angus Beef Tenderloin, local Mangalica Chop, or 28 days aged Australian Tomahawk are front and center on the dinner menu.
Be sure to save room for dessert! The pasty chef is sensational and the flavor profiles on his desserts are incredible. Hungary is famous for magnificent pastries, and you’ll find the in-house pastry chef at the Ritz Carlton, Budapest, prepares sweet delicacies beyond compare. The signature dessert, “Our Famous Royal Chocolate Cake”, is served with a cassis sorbet and a truly decadent treat. Are you in the mood for something more local? Consider the Hungarian Apricot and Cottage Cheese Cake, served with golden raisin and vanilla puree and apricot gelée. Whatever your fancy, satisfy your sweet tooth at Deák St. Kitchen.

Lighter entrees, including a spinach salad, Hungarian goulash soup, turkey sandwich, and grilled beef burger round out the offerings.
For breakfast, I highly recommend the Breakfast in B(r)ead! For Americans, it is set up like avocado toast but instead of the avocado, a layer of zucchini and tomato take over the bottom layer and it is topped with Mangalica bacon.
