Sandals Royal Barbados is the newest resort in the Sandals chain, offering an all suite property. To be completely upfront, this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in from room, food and a service standpoint. Now I haven’t been everywhere – but I was blown away by the level of luxury provided. Sandals has branded themselves as “the luxury included” vacation, and this is one you NEED.

“Treat yourself” has never been more popular, and you are simply doing yourself a disservice by not taking advantage. This is the second Sandals property I have stayed in and the 6th one I have visited. They are all great in their own way – but for now, this is my favorite.

Getting To Sandals Royal Barbados
Getting to Sandals Royal Barbados is quite easy. There are direct flights daily from cities in the U.S. and multiple connecting cities. There are even direct flights from England! I saw flights coming and going from the early morning to late evening everyday. Finding a flight will not be an issue.
Since I stayed in a high level Butler Suite – when I got to the airport and checked in with the Sandals desk, I had a Rolls Royce waiting for me to transport me to the resort. No matter what room category you stay in at Sandals Royal Barbados, there will either be a shuttle or car. You will see when you book a room what category ride you will receive. The Rolls Royce was an outstanding luxurious detail but I also want you to know I rode the shuttle in Jamaica when I stayed at the Sandals Montego Bay and it was very nice. So either way, you will be comfortable and well taken care of.

Sandals Royal Barbados: All-Inclusive
Room service breakfast
All-inclusive resorts can go one of two ways. Luckily, Sandals tends to shine with the food and presentation, so I think you will be surprised by the plethora of options and how insanely delicious the food and drinks are.
Melon Mojito
Sandals Royal Barbados has 6 restaurants and 5 bars on property but you can also use the bars and restaurants next door at Sandals Barbados, giving you an additional 11 restaurants to choose from. I ate across both properties during my stay to give me a wider dining experience but also because it is less than a 5 minute walk to any place between both resorts. They are connected by the beach and a walkway between them, making it easy to come and go.
Some of my favorite restaurants are Dino’s Pizzeria, Bombay Club, CHI, American Tavern, and room service (which is technically not a restaurant, but they deliver)! When you stay at Sandals Royal Barbados and you are picking out dining, you really feel like you are being exposed to worldly dining options. One night I had Indian food, followed the next night by Asian Fusion, then the next morning French breakfast!
Bombay – Butter Chicken
CHI – Sechuan Pepper Steak
CHI – Chicken Fried Rice
For me, one of the greatest parts of travel IS the food and Sandals is giving you this opportunity to dine around the world in a relaxed environment and not having to visit all these countries in a week. It’s actually rather brilliant how they have their dining set up.
Dino’s Pizzeria
La Parisienne – Fluffy Pancake
Room Service – Club Sandwich
Portofino’s – Tiramisu
I want to note that Sandals does a FANTASTIC job for those with allergies. My husband is a Celiac (severely allergic to gluten) and they take such great care of him to make sure there is no cross contamination and that he had everything he wanted. They prepare foods in a separate kitchen for those with allergies. Just let them know when you arrive what your allergies are and they will work with you.

The Rooms at Sandals Royal Barbados
Skypool
During my stay at Sandals Royal Barbados I checked into room category “Beachfront One Bedroom Skypool Butler Suite w/ Balcony Tranquility Soaking Tub.” This is the room to beat all other rooms. I am not even sure where to start talking about how incredible this room was, but it definitely made my stay 100 times more enjoyable.
Balcony tranquility tub
The room itself is beachfront and I stayed on the 4th floor. When you walk in, there is a hallway with beautiful art and a Butler’s Pantry off to the left. There you will find a fully stoked bar, fridge, coffee and tea station, glasses, sink, ,etc. From there you move into the living area where there is a love seat, large dining table. flat screen TV, and access to the balcony.

To the right is the bedroom where you have a king size bed, work station, dresser, flat screen TV, and access to the balcony.
Bedroom
Behind the bedroom is a massive bathroom and closet. There is a deep soaking tub, dual vanities, separate walk-in shower and toilet, walk in closet, and a vanity mirror with drawers and shelves.
Bathroom
There is no shortage of space in this suite at Sandals Royal Barbados!
Now for the best part of the room, the balcony! Here you will find a tranquility soaking tub, a chaise lounge and a SKYPOOL! You heard me correct, a pool in the sky! My balcony had an infinity pool hanging over it with perfect views of the beach and sunrise. I cannot stress enough how having this room changed my time here. Every morning I got up for sunrise and went out and took photos, then came back to my room and made coffee or tea and went swimming for a couple hours while the sun came up. It was like taking the most perfect bath every single morning.
The Butlers are top notch in this room category. You receive a phone to contact them at anytime and they will take care of your needs. They even do thoughtful things for you like decorating your room with love, leaving chocolate covered strawberries, romantic baths, and even walk with you to dinner. These guys are the real deal.

Other Rooms at Sandals Royal Barbados:
I walked the property each morning and got to explore the grounds of my resort. One thing I noticed was how stunning the grounds are and how equally beautiful the other rooms are. I would love to go back and stay in some of the other rooms I was able to identify on my walks.

Butler Elite Service at Sandals Royal Barbados
The Butler Elite service is a little different from regular Butler service. During my stay at Sandals Royal Barbados I did have the Butler Elite and the major upgrades I experienced were that I was able to get room service in my room at dinner from ANY restaurant across both Sandals properties. My husband and I ended up having two quiet evenings in and ordered food from CHI and Butch’s.

CHI – Pad Thai
Activities at Sandals Royal Barbados
Sunrise on the beach
For the first time ever at a Sandals property, the Sandals Royal Barbados has a rooftop pool with a bar and restaurant. In addition they had a 4 lane bowling alley and craft beer bar.

Spa
My only regret about the spa at Sandals Royal Barbados was waiting until the end of the trip to go in for a massage. If I had gone in earlier I would have seen how stunning the grounds were (which are open to use freely) and I could have booked another massage – because it was simply perfection.

Beach Hut
I love the concept that Sandals has put together for stay at 1, play at 2 here in Barbados. What is even more convenient is that the properties are directly next door and share the beach. You will get 17 restaurants to choose from that you can dine at freely during your stay, several bars, activities, and a long stretch of white sand beach.

In addition, you can use the pools at both Sandals Royal Barbados and Sandals Barbados. In a nutshell, you sleep wherever you book your room, but you are free to use the grounds of both properties.

Overall Opinion Of Sandals Royal Barbados
This is one of the best trips I have ever taken. Since I was here for a week, I had a nice mix of work and vacation. I try not to oversell a destination but I would be doing you, the reader, a disservice, if I didn’t tell you how much I LOVE Sandals Royal Barbados. I have been home almost a week and my bag is repacked because I want to go back. It was that good!
I cant express enough how amazing the staff was, how great the food was and how perfect everything ended up being.

Nice Rolls Nicky! Absolutely eye-popping. Paradise and luxury works for me.
First of all your pics look amazing. I wish we were there right now sipping a Melon Mojito. Looks so good. We have never stayed at one of their resorts, but this post inspired me to look into it for a future trip. Thanks for sharing.
