After visiting Iceland twice – both during the winter month of January, I have come to the conclusion that this is not only my favorite destination but the most magical. From epic landscapes, waterfalls, the northern lights, to the splitting of the tectonic plates – this country has it all and its not very far from North America.

Stunning photos! Especially I liked the photo of the Hallgrímskirkja. It seems to fly up into the sky at the end of the street. And of course the northern lights!
Iceland is an otherworldly place! It actually seems more like a fairy tale setting to me, truly magical!
