Kayumanis Ubud – a Luxury Villa in Bali

luxury-villa-in-ubud
When I decided to visit Bali, I knew I had to experience a private villa with a pool. As a luxury traveler, I try and search out the best luxury in the world, and Kayumanis sets a gold standard when it comes to providing luxury villas. From 24 hour butler service, private pools, high tea, gourmet food, to the level of service they provide – it is all 100% luxury.

One of the best things about booking a private villa is that it is just that, private. It is not the same as booking a hotel room – it has a door and you walk in and there are two buildings and a pool. It is like having a house, but at a resort.

In one building you have this amazing outdoor style living and dining area with a kitchen. You have a TV and a couch, a dining room table and then a kitchen area where you could cook if you want. It was my birthday during my visit and the staff surprised me with an amazing birthday cake. It was the nicest gesture and the most delicious cake.

In the other building you have a bedroom with a king size bed, a daybed, TV, work area, and then the best part: an outdoor bathroom. That’s right, you bathe outdoors either by bath or by shower. This is going to be a unique experience if you have never had an outdoor bathroom – which I had not. There is something special about relaxing in a bath full of roses outside where no one can see you – and just being one with nature.

What I love about Kayumanis Ubud is the complete privacy. If you don’t want to leave your villa while you are a guest, you never have to. You can stay in and relax and swim all day in your own pool.

Exploring the grounds was an adventure. Ubud is very hilly so there was a substantial amount of stairs to get from my villa to the public pool. It is in sections though as you explore the grounds. You go down a few times, then cross a beautiful bridge, then it feels like you are among the most beautiful nature as you can hear the water flowing in the stream below. The grounds are so lush with greenery. The public pool for the hotel is an above ground, infinity edge pool that overlooks the forest and stream below it.

Some of the details throughout the resort are spectacular. The colors of the doors are stunning and you will find moss and ivy overgrowing on the walls.

One night I was sitting with my feet in my pool and I looked up and saw the sun was setting out in the distance. Before I knew it the sky lit up these beautiful colors and it was like magic.

Restaurant
Kayumanis Ubud does offer one restaurant, Dining Corner. You can choose to dine in, and it is outdoors or you can get room service at any time you like delivered to your villa. The restaurant used to be a villa and was converted into a dining room – so it has a pool on the lower level and tables are on the deck around it.

On the upper level of the restaurant, there are a few tables and one special table that is on its own balcony and has seating for two overlooking the lush vegetation of Ubud.

Food
Dining Corner focuses on Thai food and some western dishes. Whether you are in the mood to branch out and try something new or stick to what you know, you are going to be happy with the selections.

Spa
Kayumanis Ubud offers a spa with a wide selection of services. Something I really enjoyed was the included 30 minute welcome massage. I had the option to go to the spa or have it done at my room. I opted for my room and did it poolside.

We’re going to stay in Ubud mostly. It’s my favorite area. And we might go to the gili islands because I missed it last time.

Ubud was great! You will love it. I didn’t have time to go to Gili on this trip. Let me know how it is if you go ❤️

Looks amazing, what a place to stay. We really must get to Bali on day soon living so close in Australia. We are a bit pit off by all the Australians that visit though. Mind you with accommodation like this we may never have to see any of our countrymen.

Well i did not spend my of my time in Ubud when we were in Bali and this place looks really awesome. I should try to book a villa next time and enjoy something like this.

I spent an year in Indonesia and I agree an experience in Ubud’s private villas is def a “must-try”. I love your rose petal bath – it looks so relaxing and the villa is simply spectacular. I will be sure to check out Kayumanis if I revisit 🙂

Ahh I loooved my time in Ubud 🙂 I can’t decide what I love most about this villa — but it’s probably the rose bath and the outdoor bathroom area. It looks like you had a lovely stay.

This looks wonderful! I absolutely love the look of how the tropical vegetation envelops your space to make it totally tranquil and secluded. The facilities look beautiful and I bet you feel pampered. Heading to Bali in a couple of weeks and the temptation is strong to head here now! Thanks for sharing!
