I always try and make the most out of every business trip I go on. My wanderlust heart doesn’t allow me to sit still for too long,  probably because there is so many things to see and do in the world.

While I was in Atlanta, Georgia for work for a few days, I decided to see what the city had to offer around my work schedule.

Where to stay:

I stayed in the Hilton Atlanta because that is where my conference and meetings were. I really liked the hotel. They have a plethora of dining options, an on site bar, pool and fitness center, a 24 hour Starbucks, and they are right in the heart of the city, close to all the attractions!

I found the bed to be very comfortable and my view of the city wasn’t bad either.

Where to eat:

I am a sucker for breakfast, especially when I can get it in my room! They have nutella stuffed french toast on the menu!! My obsession with nutella is out of this world. Everything about the breakfast served from in-room dining was great.

The hotel also offers a breakfast buffet at Southern Elements that is rather large. Meats, cheeses, a variety of breads, potatoes, eggs, omelette station, waffles, and a lot of other items.

In the same restaurant, I ordered a pulled pork sandwich one evening for dinner – that was equally delicious. Don’t forget a sweat tea .. while in Georgia

Things to do:

Atlanta is a big city and has a lot to offer. Since I was in town for business, my days were long and I didn’t have a lot of time during the day to do anything. Luckily I was here during a weekend so I was able to squeeze in a museum.

I took a tour of the World of Coca Cola. What an awesome museum. It’s great for all ages, has interactive tools, a 7 foot polar bear, pop art, 4-D ride, a movie that will make you feel intensely happy, a tasting room where you can taste their products from around the world, the Coke vault where the secret recipe is,  and they even send you on your way with your own bottle of coke.

Because of bad weather I was not able to get to anything else. Some other things in the city I was planning to do were:

Visit the Aquarium. After 4pm the price is discounted!

See a Broadway at the Fox Theatre

Visit the Martin Luther King., Jr Historic Site.

I always take something with me to relax, and lately it has been adult coloring books. You really can’t go wrong with this.
